Just watched the episode and it is too bad that the (as Bugs Bunny would say “the maroon”) did not let you finish it…personally I think you did too much work on that (as he called it) a “flying pc. of sh–t”.
I am presently working on a 79 Corvette L82, replacing the TH350 with a 700R4, never ending story.
Is there any more information as to whether the car was ever finished by the guy and his ‘buddies’? My guess is that they found the task to be of a greater scope than they imagined.

You could tell early on that the guy wasn’t all there.. For him to stumble in and give lame excuses about missing the car ? ? Wow.. What a jackweed. That was like watching 4th of July without the fireworks.. Ouch .. I figured you’d have the car back by now …
