This Week at FantomWorks is a short post that we have started to give a little insight on the ongoing projects that the shop is currently working on. Since many can’t make it to the shop for every weekly tour we decided to bring a little bit of the shop to everyone. Hope you enjoy…
Hope you enjoyed the brief update on just some of the numerous project currently in the shop.
We start this week off saying good-bye to the 41 Chevy Special 
as well as this really cool Royal Bobcat ’64 GTO 
The 80 Firebird is brought back to life and awaits some test drives and a possible interior refurbish. 
The 62 C10 awaits it’s turn for test drives as well as the last bits of trim. 
The 63 Austin Healey awaits a final part before it’s ready for the trip home. 
Jon spends some time going through the 48 Chevy pickup’s engine 
Josh installs the 74 Jaguar LS3-Type’s hard top, while Davey preps the underneath for some final undercarriage painting. 
Josh works on finishing up the 63 black Corvette 
as well as wiring up the lights on the 63 Blue Corvette 
While still finding time to help the new guy John on the 53 Chevy 5-window pickup 
Wayne continues to work on the body lines on the 69 Corvette 
As well as the gap and reveal on the 63 CVT Corvette 
Davey finds time to get the 54 Corvette ready to hopefully make it into the paint booth next week. 
While Andy gets the 63 Teal Corvette ready for it’s turn in the paint booth. 
ChrisP works on the alignment on the 69 orange Camaro 
As well as giving a 60 Corvette all new brakes and rotors. 
And gets the engine and trans plumed in on the 63 Brown Corvette. 
While the 53 Monterey awaits a few more parts. 
Jon continues to work through the issues on the 87 El Camino 
And he gets the 68 Ferrari closer to moving under it’s own power. 
Jon also begins to fabricate custom mounts to hide the modern conveniences on the 50 4100 Farm Truck.
Fantom Works team, if I ever realize my dream of finding a 1966 or 1967 plymouth satellite to build your crew would be the one to make that dream come true. Love your attention to detail

It would be nice to see pictures of your employees and a description of their responsibilities, especially the ones we’ve seen almost every episode over the years. There are a lot of great shows on the Motor Trend channel, but yours was the best!

Is there a large turn over in the shop employees? Which employees are still there from the TV shows? I will continue to watch reruns of the show. Hope to tour your shop.

Hello I saw the black 1980 Firebird on your web page and fell in love all over again.Can you tell me what was done to the car and the cost.I have a “81,sitting for to long in a garage in NYC., that could desperately use your mechanical skills. Car needs a quarter panel,paint and interior among other things. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

My wife and I love everything to do with Fantom Works and the wonders the team perform with all these incredible restorations. Imagine how sad to hear that lovely Dan has decided to call time on the tv programmes.We`re going to miss you all so much,and of course we do understand that having a camera crew constantly on site must be very disruptive ,but anyway thank everyone of you for giving a glimpse into your world where the best is barely good enough.

Dan and crew, I am totally blown away by the effort you and your team strive, to make people’s cars and lives better. I truly understand the cost of doing what you do, The pressure that YOU and” FAMILY” have is great and sometimes overwhelming. Are plant tours available? If not, do you know if they will return in the future? I have to drive about 12 hours to get there and I want to be sure tours are available before I make the drive
