Contractor Won’t Pay for Damages to Norfolk Business

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Dan Short, owner of FantomWorks in Norfolk, feels helpless. “Frustrating is just a part of what I’m feeling,” Short told WAVY.com. When the city of Norfolk offered to send someone to clean graffiti off his classic car shop over the summer, it seemed like a no-brainer. Check out Wounded Wheels and the Hampton Roads Beard and ‘Stache Society in the Virginian Pilot this morning: “The society’s inaugural Beard and Mustache competition at Shaka’s Live club in Virginia Beach will feature 10 categories to include facial hair of all types and styles – including partial beards (such as chops, goatees and Donegals with no styling aids), to fake creative for the hairless, and a “red, white and beard class” for veterans only. Proceeds will go to the Norfolk-based Wounded Wheels, which customizes classic cars for wheelchair-bound vets.”   Read more...
