Oklahoma houses one of the best museums on Route 66 and the gift shop alone is worth the stop. You’ll find everything related to the Mother Road including an indoor malt shop. Oklahoma begins the transition of the road. It goes from North-South to East-West and from Green to Arid as you prepare to cross the desert.

We didn’t spend a lot of time in Oklahoma. Next time through, we’ll make a point of seeing all of the sights.
