Just a quick update of some of the projects going on in the shop currently. Since many can’t make it to the shop for every weekly tour we decided to bring a little bit of the shop to everyone. Hope you enjoy…
Hope you enjoyed the brief update on just some of the numerous project currently in the shop.
Great work would like to see a 2 hour show on Motor Trend maybe once a year. I am in the industry for 37 years in collision repair and the Insurance physical damage. Keep up the good work. You should give school tours for young kids to learn a trade we need new blood in the industry.
Really miss seeing your shop on TV. I always watch the reruns best car TV show.
Whatever happened to “FanMailFriday” installments?
Our Fan Car Friday installments were cancelled due to alterations to employee workloads.
Can you include pictures of your dog next time. Thanks
Hi! I’m a fan from Canada(Québec) you’r the best Garage and The world body!!!
Sure wish you were back on TV!
Thanks for the update! Glad to see some of the great works going on at Fantom! Keep healthy & stay safe ladies & gentlemen!!
Your the Best!!
Your series have been almost the only ones on TV that I have kept over the years. Great to go back through the older episodes. I live in England and don’t get to see my favourite 70s Muscle Cars much especially being fixed and customised.
Dan: Hang in there. You do great work. We miss having new episodes. I can’t tell you how many times we’ve watched episodes multiple times.
Nice to see the updates. I know it’s been a tough year for everyone. Always enjoyed the TV show. Dan seemed to make it more realistic than the other automotive shows.
Dan , I am so sorry your FantomWorks show is no longer being filmed. I understand it was a grueling ordeal, and I am sorry for the losses you encountered producing the show. I just wanted you to know that for 8 years you had the best, bar none, auto restoration show ever produced. Your attention to detail and safety produced some of the most amazing vehicles I have ever seen. I am so impressed with your work ethic that I will be submitting a project to you in the next week or so.
Hoping for your success in wherever you are led in the future.

Just wanted you to know we appreciated the show for the years it was on and Yep, now watching the re-runs. Thanks for today’s email!
Your still doing a great job but your fans in the uk are still missing your show ,we cant wait to see anymore quick shots of the work your upto
cheers doug
I understand why you are not doing discovery. It is sad and so great that you made the decision to get back to the work and quality. Dan did promote his values of car safety first then the customer. No nonsense about your work ethics.
Too bad you had to accommodate the film crew to get their shot at the expense of efficiency. There could be a way to show those who are less able to do the quality work. Maybe a how to do, prep, and finish different aspects of a build leaving your crew to do. Their best.
Truly miss the show, definitely the best car show out there. Keep rocking brother…much success!!!
Thank you for the update. I enjoy seeing and hearing about authentic high quality auto work!
Thanks for having a you tube channel. I don’t do social media. Especially face book, it’s a me thing with the founder.
Miss the show but understand reasons for leaving can you update status of new network you mentioned. Thank you and all your employees for helping us all to get through these difficult times.
Thanks for the update! Really miss the show. Continue with the updates. Let us know what the crew are working on.
Wishing you success moving forward. Pleased to have you back. Charlie
I’m on a plane to VA when I hit the lotto to buy a car!
I missed the weekly newsletter. Keep up the good works.

Saw a short video on all the “things” you & the shop had to deal with and I can’t blame you for shutting the filming down..Have to say that I truly miss seeing the projects and the guys and of course – You..I’ve been watching every show that has been repeated on the Network..How about doing a special..not two, three or four..just A special to touch base with us..??
Dan…looking forward to more new shows. You have the best one going, too many of them are overloaded
with egos. I don`t want or need to see anybody playing golf, arguing with each other over menial Bull….
or any type of filler. You guys (and girls) do it right.
I have an 86 Grand Nat`l that I would love to have your paint guy do what he did to the 87 GN you had in
there a while back, but I know that I would have to come down and try to talk you into doing it, with your
73 cut off.
Anyway keep up the good work, I hope to someday take a tour.
Really happy to get this email. Thought I was forgotten. Great to see the shop is busy, proof of the excellent work being performed.
Great quality work miss the show and the owner interface with Dan the Man!
I think it’s a brilliant car show, I love watching the men each trade sort out any trouble with customers vehicles. And Dan you don’t take any bull s**t from anybody.
So keep up the good work and make more shows just to keep all your fans happy and I would be a happy bunny. Cheers
I know you have not had anyone tell you that you had the best show of this kind on T V so I will take a minute of my exceedingly important time to tell you , You did!! What makes my time more valued to me? Hell, because it’s mine. BEING DISABLED AND < seen I had caps on. Its not a big deal many are in that place so I'm not that damn special. It is however a good reason to tell you your show was a " real" look into a well run shop by some professionals that really care about what left there shop. And you did not sugar coat what they brought you with any BS, it was going to cost them and if they were not willing to understand having a wreck resurrected takes time and money you sat down with them and explained they better accept what they are getting is much more than what they would have got from the factory if they bought it new, and may well be worth more in a few years or less. I'm a vet and former chief of police of three city's and your show has been a refuge for me with my PTSD, hard to talk about or explain my interest in cars has held me together and the honesty of your show has given me hope that real honesty is still alive in this world. You are highly valued and vary appreciated, And you do not play the drunken fool like on one show, well he may grow up some day. Thank you for giving of your time and expert knowledge. Lou
I agree. The best car restoration show – and there are now many to choose from. FantomWorks is no nonsense, no mindless chatter and no stupid joking around like on the other shows, just solid get down to business and show us how you do it. I have seen all your episodes many times. Having been a 1958 Corvette owner (twice) my favorite episode is “Shake and Bake”, have it archived. Will you be making any new shows in the future?
Sure do miss your show, although it doesn’t look like I’m the only one. Thanks for the updates; I enjoy them.
Excellent show turning out excellent vehicles!
Glad to get an update and hopefully things are moving back to some sort of “normal”! Miss the show but watch the re-runs. And still love my T-shirt from my visit awhile back!
Really miss your show Dan. Like many others I have lived vicariously through you and our mutual love for cars.
As Doug said most missed show so I too watch (and record) reruns so I can watch and re-watch! Good luck to you and the crew in these crazy times!!!
I really miss your show on Motor Trend. I can almost mouth the dialog of the reruns. What happened to take you off the air or produce new shows?!?!? I mean, man you are the only straight up mechanic/custom shop on TV. Every one else really are custom shops only; though capable as mechanics, I’m sure. Some others have skills and demonstrate them but still farm out some production. You do too but don’t try to hide it; many of them don’t either.
I think you can produce high end custom with the best of them or anything below. So, I can only guess you had production differences with TV producers as reason for show’s cancellation.
You should reconsider this decision and maybe come to an acceptable agreement you can live it. I would say one that you and your employees all benefit from the contract. Here’s hope to seeing your return to the “air”!

Yeah, born Jan 54 & I got to grow up watching each and every car, truck, motorcycle and airplane come along. I, along with friends, got to visit the new car lots after hours just to check out the new stuff. Man did we dream!!!!!
Dear Dan and all the Team.
Love watching TV series on the Quest Channel. I really admire and respect your talents. Love all the cars you renovate. Hoping you will return to the Quest Channel with a new TV Series. Keep up the great work.

I love your show. Best show on Motor Trend . I had no idea of the stress and many hours it took to do that show.
Great to see you back Dan, cannot wait to Fantomworks back on tv, off to visit the you tube channel shortly, keep up the superb work , best wishes to all at the shop and their families
I agree that fantomworks was- and. still is, even in reruns, the best show on MT!
I miss the look on Dan’s face every time an engine starts up for the first time
Hi , I’m from Norfolk UK. Miss the Fantom works TV show. Puts all the other car shows to shame.Nice to see you back again..
Hi , I’m from Norfolk, UK. Miss the Fantom works TV show. Puts all the other car shows to shame. Nice to see you back again..
I am one who has watched every season and episode multiple times. The show had great content and it was evident that Dan runs a tight ship with quality work as the only outcome. Miss seeing new shows and watching everyone interact with such a good outcome.
Hope you all are enjoying getting some work done, now that the camera’s are out of the way? I have to make it over there and see your shop some day, I’m just across the water in Hampton.
You guys do great work keep it up and would love to see you back on TV
I love the fact that Dan doesn’t sugar coat anything, he dives right in and does the work. It’s obvious he knows his stuff. I am always impressed by his depth of knowledge and by how he says it like he sees it. Stand up guy. Love the show. Quit bleeping him, it’s cable!!
Welcome back Fantomworks. You’ve been missed. Keep up the good work and keep the good stuff coming. Stay safe.
Have you considered installing electric motor assemblies once/if the governing body in power bans fossil fuels? I would hate to lose the 69 Camaro I got from my Dad.
Really enjoy the show here in the UK and it’s in my top two car shows ( car sos being the other. Nice to see the cars in the photos but would really like a bit more on the staff- who’s there who’s left etc .. have pencilled you in for a visit when everything back to normal but in the meantime thanks for the hours of enjoyment.
I have loved your show for years. I have watched each episode at least ten times! Like all of the people who have loved your show, I hope that someday you will be able to film more episodes.
Hi, I have really enjoyed your TV series and I have to tape every episode! I will probably have seen all the programs many times but I never get tired of them! I enjoy Dans down to earth attitude and his honesty. Please keep up the good work and I hope I will be able to get to see you in the future. Many thanks again, Richard Harrison, UK 🇬🇧
I love your show, you take great care on everything you work on.everyone is super skilled craftsman and there work shows it .it’s just a incredible Awesome show.I hope you continue
To produce Fantomworks
Love the passion to cars and the “Magic” your Team performs with the transformation from what was received and what is driven home when finished.
I completely agree with the previous comments. I have seen every show on MT many times. I record each one and view
them again and again. I am an retired electronics engineer and I really appreciate your attention to detail and your commitment to excellence. Thank you, Best wishes to you and staff.
It is not an easy job designing and then making sure the design is brought forward to the designers satisfaction, these guy’s approached automotive through the eyes of original design and implementation, with modern twists to bring back function. It was/is a good show for how to do things properly..within budget and/or time guidelines.
At age 77, I am well versed with all aspects of restoration and repair. I had my own automotive service shops (5) for over 40 years and then retired. Fantomworks is honestly, the best of the best regarding automobile restoration and upgrades. I could not wait to see the next episode and feel hollow inside without the program. The other shows that are being aired cannot hold a candle to Fantomworks. The attention to detail and knowledge exhibited by all the shop personnel and Dan’s in depth knowledge are a joy to watch. I have not missed a show so much, even when “Davy Crockett” ceased to air. Being an Army veteran, I am thrilled to see the discipline and dedication of all personnel at Fantomworks. Thank for the few years of enjoyment. Hope and pray you are able to resume educating the masses of automotive enthusiasts.
hey yall! our son,Shane, was navy out there! 3 months ago he transfered here to Lemoree,California to be closer to his family! We ate restoring a 66 C10 pickup and we love watching your epusides on Prime TV!Beautiful work yall do! God bless you Fantom Works team! Dino &Karen Fuente
Dan and crew. A message from the other side of the world. I watch your show in New Zealand and have to agree it is one of the best with no nonsense presentation and no inherent silliness that many others have and yet still be entertaining. Also a viewer gets to know the prices and hours required to build show quality cars and get basket cases going again.
Even my wife watches your show with me whenever we can find a channel showing the reruns, and she loves it. We have two 1962 Corvettes, one 1964 Falcon convertible, a 1966 Falcon coupe, and a 1964 4-speed Falcon Futura. Also, a 1962 Impala 409 with 4-speed, dual Carter carbs and posi-traction.

Hi Roy and Vicky
Do you have any pictures of the Falcons? They were extremely popular in Argentina and I have been trying to locate one model that looks like the ones down there.
In one of the pictures at the top you can see a green one with a white roof on one of the top shelves. It is hard to see but I found it.. I think he has another one too.
Thank you very much!!!
I’m more than happy to uncover this site.
I need to to thank you for your time for this particularly fantastic read!!
I definitely enjoyed every bit of it and I have you saved to
fav to see new stuff on your website.
