This Week at Fantomworks is a short post that we have started to give a little insight on the ongoing projects that the shop is currently working on.  Since many can’t make it to the shop for every weekly tour we decided to bring a little bit of the shop to everyone.  Hope you enjoy…

As Dan and Melissa are currently out on a well deserved family vacation Audrey handles the morning meetings.

Davey sprays what is hopefully the last few pieces for the ’37 Stearman.  Pops gets the center top portion of the wing installed as we get steadily closer to seeing the ’37 Stearman in the air.

Dan’s Route-66 Corvette gets moved into the BodyWorks section to get prepped for a new coat of paint.  Another 63 Split window gets a shiny silver paint job and gets buffed out before getting reassembled.  As yet another 63 Corvette gets ready to enter the booth, a C1 hard top cures it’s fresh Off-White paint job.

Jon has removed the massive V-12 from a 3 series Jaguar E-type and is currently working to reinforce the frame and mount points in preparation for a motor transplant.  Along the way he is busy making new firewall panels to replace the rusted original panels.

Andy continues the time consuming process of getting the body ready for paint.  Having to sand and prime until the body panels are smooth and fitted accordingly.

Hope you enjoyed the brief update on just some of the numerous project currently in the shop.  If you are ever in the Norfolk area on a Friday, come on down and see the work being done yourself during one of our weekly Tours.
