As many of you might know there was a Category 4 hurricane that appeared to be heading in our direction. So we spent the majority of this week prepping for it’s arrival. The shop will be closed most of this week and with no tours to see it in storm prep mode, I thought it would be something fans would be interested to see. We started by putting as many cars on lifts as possible and then covering those with tarps, car covers and even foam sheets. Then all vehicles were moved away from windows and bay doors. We even had enough room to temporarily shelter some employee vehicles from the storm. So here are some photos of the shop after we had prepped.
Thankfully for us, but unfortunately for South and North Carolina, Florence decided to veer left. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those in this devastating storm’s path.
Thank you for your storm prep update. I am on vacation in Va. Beach and with the beach being less appealing today, I was thinking of visiting Fantom Works for a tour this afternoon. Now I think I’ll just go home to New Jersey. I’ll catch you next time.
SQUEAKY Clean!
Where are Heidi and Sadie sheltering?
Stay safe!
They will be sheltering with the boss at the big house.
So sorry to hear about everyone that’s going through everything. We will all be thinking of everyone.
Stay safe guys,I have lived in Yorktown Va for over 60 years and been thru many a storm.Looks like we may have gotten lucky this time, hope everybody to the south are prepared and stay dry.No matter what Fantom Works does, that area floods very easily,I know this because I use to deliver all over Norfolk and va beach.
Thank you for the storm updates. As a fan of the show and two time visitor to your shop wishing every one there and to the south of you the best. You are in our prayers. May God Bless all of you and keep you safe.
God Bless You guys,
Did you have much flooding?

Norfolk always floods but we managed to stay pretty much dry.
I’m so very glad to hear this. I have been watching the storm and prayed everything would be okay
