1966 Plymouth Barracuda (Formula S)
Formula SThis 1966 Barracuda is getting mechanical and interior work. For the mechanical side, the engine is being completely stripped and rebuilt. We are also replacing the carburetor, repairing the exhaust system, and tuning up the suspension, transmission, and brakes. For the interior side, the carpet is being removed and replaced, all the gauges are being replaced, and the stereo is getting an update. Our IronWorks guys even got in on this project to do some work on the floor pans.

The first-generation Barracuda, a fastback A-body coupe based on the Plymouth Valiant, had distinctive wraparound back glass and was available from 1964 to 1966.

For 1966, the Barracuda received new taillights, new front sheet metal, and a new dashboard. The latter had room for oil pressure and tachometer gauges on models so equipped. The 1966 front sheet metal which, except for the grille, was shared with the Valiant, and gave a more rectilinear contour to the fenders. Deluxe models featured fender-top turn signal indicators with a stylized fin motif. The bumpers were larger, and the grille featured a strong grid theme. A center console was optional for the first time.
