Route 66 Runs through the panhandle of Texas. Most of the road was replaced by Interstate 40 so you’ll have to make the most of the stops you find. When you get to Texas, you have left the greeneries behind, at least until you get to Western California.

We stopped at Amarillo to hit the big Texan for the 72 Ounce Monster steak. They refused to sell me one unless I tried to eat it in one  hour. I just wanted to buy it and eat it but they refused. I had to order a couple of the 24 ounce baby steaks and sit at the kids table 🙂
