1. Does FantomWorks sell cars?

The vehicles built at FantomWorks are customer owned. Each customer has either purchased or already owns their classic vehicle before bringing it to us for completion. As a classic car repair shop, our job is to provide our customers with the services to improve or renew the look and performance of their classic automobile.

2. How often does filming occur at FantomWorks?

The production of a TV show requires a lot of time and effort. Especially when filming at a fully functional auto shop. FantomWorks has projects both on and off screen and the crew is constantly working to make sure that our standard of quality work is maintained throughout. As a result, filming is almost constant. Our film crew does their best to catch every moment, which often requires coverage of several projects at once.

3. How can I get my car on the show?

If you would like to submit your vehicle for consideration to be a project at FantomWorks, please fill out our contact form below. FantomWorks does their best to accommodate all of our potential customers. That being said, we cannot guarantee that every project will make it onto the show. After we have received your information and determined that we will be able to take on your project, our producers will meet with Dan and decide which vehicles are going to be followed through this process.

4.Who pays for the projects?

All work done is paid for by the customer. FantomWorks is, as previously stated, a fully functioning antique vehicle repair company. We provide a range of services for our customers’ antique vehicles from full builds, to modifications, to tune ups and inspections. As with most businesses, we are not able to provide these services for free.

5. Is the show scripted?

The short answer is no. The show is unscripted. All of the crises, triumphs, fights, laughs, and most importantly the work is real. It is impossible to show every hour of every day on TV, so yes, you will mostly see highlights from the process. As Dan likes to say, “FantomWorks is not a show about a car repair company, it is a car repair company that is being filmed.”

6. Is it filmed on a set?

FantomWorks is filmed on location at DRS Automotive FantomWorks. It is a full repair garage for classic automobiles, americana, aircraft, and boats. It is not a set.

7. Are the deadlines real?

The deadlines are very real. We always do our best to have work completed on time, unless that means sacrificing quality. Any extra time that would cause us to go over a deadline to return a customer’s vehicle is discussed and approved with the customer beforehand.
